Welcome to www.mycastles.com please update your bookmarks this is where my page will be staying! I've pulled all my sites into one now, so you don't need to go looking elswhere for other creations or instructions. Realm of Tanarth and Mookies Lego page are both housed here, along with some of my other creations I've been working on.

Cool things going on in the Realm!

Building Front
Pictures of the Village are ready! They are under POV in the menu above. I ran into a few problems with my system, seems as the file grows, my swapfile runs out ;) So the actual village is as big as I can make it. I've toyed with the idea of connecting the pictures though the angles didn't work out right. I'll have to figure out another way, I have another section about as big almost done, to create a big square, though I might have to post that seperately too.

Well the building bug has bitten, though now I'm creating in LDraw again. I haven't built anything in LDraw in a couple of years. I'll have to admit I wasn't very happy with MLCad when it first came out. I was a tried and true LDrawer, though now that I've been away from it, I have to admit, MLCad is nice! I still think some of the part categories are strange... you find things where you never expect them to be... I was looking for the flag pole, so I looked under P for pole, F for flag pole, b for bar... and I couldn't find it anywhere, I was chatting with Jeff Stembel who told me it's an antenna... well ok, I look under A and find it! Is there not some way to cross reference parts that have more than one use? On a good note! The LDraw Installer is dynamite, it installs all the programs you could ever want or need which I think is a big plus for the LDraw community. I seriously hope James is looking down at us smiling and happy with what his product has become and the following that's been created!
Though, enough of my rant and kudos! I've started to create a new village with my LDrawn creations and will have pics when I think it's complete!

A new creation! I've got bit by the building bug again. I've created a small treehouse just for the fun of it. I haven't built the inside yet so there's no pictures of that yet. I'm not sure who's going to move into this yet. Maybe one of my wizards, or maybe a small faction of some outlaw group...

I've been building a few things lately, I just finished doing the LEGO Dragon set, it's sitting nicely on top of my big screen tv. I wanted to do another sculpture after doing Scooby Doo, to hone my building abilities and I figured a LEGO original would give me the most experience. I think Scooby was a good try, though the back legs need more work and the belly. I probably shouldn't have tried to do something in a color I didn't have a lot of. I think that hindered me a little in building him properly. All in all though, I think it's a great first try!

I've also created a Harry Potter Maxi Fig from some instructions on the web which I modified greatly. I think my version came out looking a little more like a minifig than the web version. (Sorry I don't remember who did the original one) He's also sitting on my big screen tv, Gotta love the space on top of the tv! Pics will be available soon hopefully.

Pictures of the new building have arrived! Click the picture to view Beardsly House/Manor.

Building of the New Village will start soon! I've been away for a little while though now I'm back and building again! I just need a few more houses and some fluff and new pics will be taken once I get everything set up again.

A New building has been finished in the realm, as soon as pictures are taken they will be made available to the public.

Designer Kits
I've gotten hooked! Designer sets are the way to go lately, I've been having a blast building all different kinds of animals with the Wild collection and Little Creations sets. I've also gotten at least 10 of the red x-pod sets. I've created all the critters from that in both the red from the x-pods and blue from the Little Creations. I'll get pics up soon. I can't wait to get my hands on the new mammals. Even though I do hate the new grey colors. Hopefully I can replace them with the real grey when I build them. I've almost gotten so hooked all I want to build is animals lately! The Technic type Designer sets are cool too, I love the walking horse, reminds me of toys from when I was much younger. Has ANYONE figured out how to make the crab from that set? They don't show enough pictures for me to figure it out :(

Color Change....
I know most people think this is a dead horse.... I HATE IT LEGO.... with all that I hold dear, you changed my grey's.... I have to admit, other than the Designer kits, I've stopped buying LEGO... I know my few little dollars aren't going to mean much to them... though I feel better! It's $5000.00-6000.00 a year they aren't going to make from me at least.

Event Kit
I was able to get an Event Kit from LEGO! I took the kit to one of the local Community Centers, the kids were in 7th heaven and enjoyed spending the afternoon playing and building. Pics can be seen here!
